John Catlin
John Catlin, who won his third European Tour title in less than 12 months at the Austrian Golf Open, was the first to be extended a US PGA Championship exemption back in April.

ATZENBRUGG, Austria (AP) John Catlin beat Maximilian Kieffer at the fifth playoff hole on Sunday to win the Austrian Open for his third European Tour title.
The American easily wrapped up the victory after three shots from Kieffer landed in the water. The German earlier had a promising chance for his first tour victory, but narrowly missed a birdie putt at the first playoff hole.
“It’s kind of relief. Kind of thought that playoff was never going to end and that we kept going back and forth,” Catlin, who finished on 14-under 274, told Austrian TV.

John Catlin won his third European Tour title in eight months as he overcame Maximilian Kieffer in a play-off following a dramatic final day battle at the 2021 Austrian Golf Open.
The American started the day two shots off the lead and was four back after Kieffer picked up six shots in seven holes to take control at Diamond Country Club.
But as Kieffer s momentum stalled in a two horse race, Catlin took his birdie tally for the day to seven as he carded a bogey free 65 to set the target at 14 under.
In the group behind, the German found sand off the 18th tee but showed nerves of steel to get up and down for par and the contest went to extra holes.

ATZENBRUGG, Austria (AP) Martin Kaymer joined Alejandro Canizares on 9 under after the third round to share the lead at the Austrian Open as both players seek their first European Tour title since 2014.
Two-time major champion Kaymer carded a 69 on Saturday to make up his one-stroke deficit on the Spaniard, who has led since opening day.
Maximilian Kieffer had a 68 and was one stroke back in third, followed by John Catlin (71), who went 7 under. Former winner Joost Luiten (69) was part of a group of three at 6 under.
“Mentally I’m really excited about tomorrow,” Kaymer said. “It doesn’t really matter what happens tomorrow, if you win or not, it’s nice to be in that position to have an opportunity to win a golf tournament.”
