More and more Bitcoin ATMs in recent months began popping up in the Lehigh Valley.
The cryptocurrency was created in 2009 by an unknown person using the alias “Satoshi Nakamoto.” Bitcoin allows folks to make exchanges to buy or sell goods. Patrons can use different currencies in the transactions and also perform them anonymously.
Bitcoin quickly was adopted by a small clutch of enthusiasts and Nakamoto dropped off the map as it began to attract widespread attention. But proponents say that doesn’t matter: the currency obeys its own internal logic.
