Alie Saenz, a political science major, is one of the many students who staff the help desks and kiosks known as MavIGATION Stations across campus to lend a helping hand to students, faculty, and staff as they navigate university life. Beginning August 2021, the University of Nebraska at Omaha s (UNO) student employees and Student Employment opportunities will transition from UNO Human Resources to the Division of Student Success. With this change there will be additional support for supervisors, student employees, and students seeking on-campus employment under the leadership of a newly-named UNO s Student Employment Specialist, Garrett Gassman. As Student Employment Specialist, Gassman will develop and ensure compliance for student employment policies and processes; provide consultation to supervisors and students regarding student employment practices; and create new training opportunities for supervisors, as well as student employees.
