Photo / News Corp Australia NZ Herald Families of the Yorkshire Ripper s victims are asking for the infamous killer s estate to be shared between them after his ex-wife refused to share the contents of his will. Between the 1970s and 1980s Peter Sutcliffe, murdered at least 13 women, last year he died at the age of 74 after testing positive for coronavirus.

Coroner is still awaiting prison report into death of Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe

An inquest into the death of Peter Sutcliffe was adjourned today because the coroner has not yet received the prison ombudsman s report into the serial killer s death. Sutcliffe, who was blind and needed a wheelchair, died in hospital on November 13 from a combination of Covid-19, diabetes and heart disease.  At the time of his death, the 79-year-old was serving a whole-life term for the murders of 13 women across Yorkshire and Manchester between 1975 and 1980. The assistant senior coroner for County Durham and Darlington, Crispin Oliver, today held a brief hearing at Crook Civic Centre to give an update into how the inquiry was progressing.
