Domenicali satisfied with ‘extraordinary’ sprint

Stefano Domenicali is generally happy with how the first sprint qualifying session went but sees room for improvement.
A new format with traditional qualifying taking place on Friday, a sprint race on Saturday and the main event on Sunday, was used for the first time at the British Grand Prix.
There was a largely positive reception to it, with the sprint qualifying session being widely seen as an enjoyable addition to the race weekend.
Domenicali is pleased with how it turned out, feeling that it lined up with the sport’s aims to move forward and grow the audience.
