Bishop s Castle residents have more time to share their views about proposed plans to install a one-way system in the town after an extension of two weeks has been given for public comments. Plans include a one-way system from Wintles Junction to Market Square along Welsh Street with no right turn at bottom of Castle Street and no entry from Welsh Street into Union Street, and a 20mph speed limit for the whole of Bishop s Castle. The town council has said that the feedback has shown how very important this issue is and are pleased with the amount of responses received so far.

Chester murder suspect arrested in South Carolina

CHESTER, Pa - A man wanted in connection with a murder in Chester has been arrested in South Carolina, according to authorities.
Police were called to the Candlewood Suites on the 300 block of Welsh Street in July 2020.
They found the victim, Charles Bryant, 36, lying face down on the floor of the lobby in front of the main entrance shot in the chest. Bryant died at the scene.
Authorities say Nasir Frisby, 42, was identified as the suspect. A warrant relating to homicide charges was issued for his arrest.
