US tech giant Apple has renewed original drama series The Mosquito Coast for a second season for its global streaming service Apple TV+.
The finale of the first season drops on Apple TV+ tomorrow and European production group Fremantle has been given the green light for a second run.
The series stars Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman and follows the dangerous journey of a radical idealist and brilliant inventor who uproots his family to head for Mexico, when they suddenly find themselves on the run from the US government.

The Mosquito Coast debuts on Apple TV+ on Friday, June 4.
The seven-episode series is created for television and executive produced by Cross. Executive producers also include Paul Theroux, Justin Theroux, Rupert Wyatt and Edward L. McDonnell. Alan Gasmer, Peter Jaysen and Bob Bookman also serve as executive producers for Veritas Entertainment Group. It was developed by Cross and Tom Bissell.
