The Nioh 2 - The Complete Edition 1.27 patch went live last week. It introduced support for keyboard and mouse input icons, performance improvements, and bug fixes.

・Fixed an issue which prevented Burst Counters from being used against certain enemies’ Burst Attacks when “Frame Rate Cap” was set to 120
・Further improvements have been made to address the issue of frame rate degradation when “Effect Quality” is set to “High” in “Graphics Settings”
・Shadows are now enabled in cutscenes even when the Shadows setting in Graphics Settings is set to OFF
Fixed an issue which could prevent the use of “Righteous Jasper”
Fixed an issue where the input latency was reduced when firing a ranged weapon in rapid succession, when the firing button was set to L2 or R2
Fixed an issue where some additional content equipment that was already purchased on PS4 would not drop when the save data was transferred to the PS5 version

With the release of Nioh 2: The Complete Edition for PlayStation 5 and PC this week on Friday 5th February, Team Ninja have updated Nioh 2 for PlayStation 4 to version 1.24, adding the necessary features to support cross-save and multiplayer between generations.
Nioh 2’s PS5 remaster will also be a free upgrade for those who have bought the game on PlayStation 4, whether that’s for the base version of the game or the Complete Edition which will release on both consoles.

Thankfully you won’t have to start over. Your PS4 version save data can be transferred to PS5, but requires you to update the game first to version 1.24. This will then enable you to upload your PS4 save to their servers via a new feature found in System from the main menu. You can then download the save in Nioh 2: Complete Edition on PS5 using the same PSN account – there’s no cross-save to the Steam version.

A new Nioh 2 update is now live on PlayStation 4, adding cross-save functionality with the soon to be released PlayStation 5 version, balance adjustments, and more.
The new cross-save management function introduced in update 1.24 will allow players to transfer save files from the PlayStation 4 to the PlayStation 5 versions and vice versa.
You can select this function via the SYSTEM option at the title screen.
Save data from the PS4 version can be uploaded, then downloaded to the PS5 version, allowing you to continue playing. (It is also possible to transfer from the PS5 version to the PS4 version.)
