The weekend brought a glimmer of good news for COVID-19 case counts in the Oxford and Elgin counties region.
Despite 57 new cases, the active case count in the region dropped to 190 after nearing 200 on Friday.

The region recorded 57 new cases over the weekend but, with 65 people considered recovered over the same period, the active total dropped by eight, Southwestern public health reported.
There have now been 3,197 cases and 72 deaths in the region from COVID-19 to date, including three deaths reported last week alone.

How could someone so endearing - because of his gentleness, and kind and empowering words - can be conceived as unkind? Surely not Father Bernas.
