One of Colchester’s oldest manufacturing firms reverts to its original name ONE of Colchester’s oldest manufacturing companies has reverted to its original name to “reconnect with its heritage”. Woods Air Movement had been known as Fläkt Woods since joining the FläktGroup in 2002, but has decided to revert back to its original name as part of a major brand overhaul. Managing director Steve Chesney said despite changing names almost 20 years ago, many customers still refer to the company as Woods. He said: “So as part of our dynamic transformational programme aimed at global expansion, we felt it was the perfect time to re-assert our brand as one of the world’s leading fan manufacturers.

Woods Air Movement Brings U.S. Headquarters, Manufacturing Facility to Murfreesboro Jan 11, 2021 at 09:50 am by WGNS
MURFREESBORO - Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Woods Air Movement officials announced today that the ventilation and fan company will establish a U.S. facility in Murfreesboro.
Woods Air Movement will re-establish its North American presence in the U.S. market by investing $3.6 million and creating 27 jobs in Rutherford County.
The company is constructing a new, purpose-built 25,000-square-foot facility, which will be its North American headquarters and manufacturing facility for industrial ventilation products used in road and rail tunnels, non-residential buildings and underground parking garages. The facility in Murfreesboro will also function as a product testing center, which will be accessible to customers.
