From microbreweries to micro-gardening, it’s been a big year for the humble micro prefix that’s found its way to literary circles. Explore the expanding world of micropoety at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 12, when Phoenix-based Rinky Dink Press presents its latest virtual installment of Micropoetry Mondays. You’ll see readings by four poets, plus the launch of new poetry collections by Nova Baize and Rebecca Fish Ewan. The event is free.

Bicycle Mural Tour
Maybe Mesa isn’t the first area that comes to mind when you think about the vibrant mural scene in metro Phoenix. But it’s actually home to dozens of works created by artists painting in distinct styles, which you can explore at your leisure during a self-guided tour that spans just over four miles. RAIL CDC and Bike Mesa created a map you can download before you head out, which includes 30 stops and works by more than 50 artists. Outdoor concerts are returning as the weather warms and audiences continue to seek new ways to experience live music amid the pandemic. Some venues spring concert series have already sold out, so don’t delay if you’re eager to snag tickets to some of these events.

Artlink Exhibit
This is year 33 for the Art Detour event meant to highlight the city’s creative side, which kicked off on February 20 and continues for 33 days. This year’s lineup includes the 21st Annual Artlink Juried Exhibit, a multimedia affair showcasing 85 of the 725 artworks submitted for consideration. It’s on view now, and through June 13, at the FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel, where you can pop in to explore the art offerings at whatever time suits your fancy. The free exhibit includes works by artists working with diverse mediums and styles, including Mia B. Adams, Diana Calderon, Angel Castro, Min Kyu Kim, Katharine Leigh Simpson, and John Tuomisto-Bell.
