The new eight acre showfield will be created between the A939 and the River Nairn at Househill Farm and has been purchased with a £136,000 grant.
Members of the Nairnshire Farming Societyâs governing committee reluctantly came to a decision on Monday evening that the annual show would once again be postponed due to the pandemic.

The new eight acre showfield, on the edge of Nairn town, will be created from the large field that lies between the A939 and the River Nairn. The purchase of the ground from Househill Farm has been made possible with a £136,000 grant from the Davidson Trust (Nairn). Additional adjacent land will be leased for car-parking.

Decisions over whether two of the areaâs most valuable annual events for the local economy will go ahead in 2021 are expected within weeks.
Despite announcements that two Covid-19 vaccines are being rolled out across the UK, Nairnshire Farming Societyâs annual show in July and Nairn Highland Games in August look unlikely to go ahead.
