Wastewater line costs bedevil Beach Road project
Tisbury sends letter as select board chair accuses MassDOT of deficient planning.
The Town of Tisbury and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation have yet to agree on who should pay for $1 million to $2 million worth of unanticipated sewer line work the Beach Road project appears to require.
Tisbury town administrator Jay Grande told the select board Tuesday night the town and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) were at an impasse about who will cover costs associated with utility conflicts discovered after the Beach Road project broke ground on a shared-use path.  ....
