School District of Philadelphia to expand hybrid instruction model to more students

If a family chooses to pivot their pre-K through second grade student to the hybrid learning model, he or she will have two days per week of in-person instruction and three days per week of online learning. The new schedule would take effect the week of April 5 after all pre-K through second grade students who are already enrolled in the hybrid learning model have successfully begun some in-person instruction.  If a family does not respond to the survey, their student will continue with all-remote learning. Families are also permitted to remain all-virtual or revert back to online-only instruction after originally choosing to partake in the hybrid learning model.

Irish Cruising Club Fly the Flag for Responsible Cruising

Irish Cruising Club Fly the Flag for Responsible Cruising 20th February 2021 Irish Cruising Club s Honorary Editor Maire Breathnach at the helm of the Swan 42 King of Hearts at Cape Horn. The Irish Cruising Club has been producing a printed Annual collating its members doings afloat and ashore through logs and narratives for ninety years now. And while these days this substantial collection is in circulation before Christmas as a matter of course - thanks to the succession of Honorary Editors being notably on top of production technology and sticking to a rather fierce deadline - it isn t until after the Club s AGM in February that any of it goes public, following which the many logs – and particularly the award-winning ones – are available online on the club s website.

B.C. real estate: Vancouver's battle of the Asian property tycoons

The Supreme Court of British Columbia has ordered Concord Pacific, one of Canada s largest property developers, to pay about $5 million in special costs after one of its senior employees was found to be “egregiously dishonest,” in an ongoing legal battle between two Asian tycoons. The rare special costs award is believed to be one of the highest ever awarded in Canada and sends a warning to litigants that the courts will not tolerate being misled with false claims. In his ruling, Justice Peter Voith wrote that David Ju, Concord s vice-president, had misled the court in the case that pits his boss, Terry Hui, against Singaporean billionaire Oei Hong Leong.

Nancy describes these times as a storybook setting where she formed many cherished lifelong friendships. Born into a very fast-growing fam

Sonny and Alice Ho during an event at the William Dick School in North Philadelphia, one of the sites where the couple s $100,000 donation will help provide fresh food and nutritional counseling to kids in food-insecure neighborhoods. Ho started working at Dunkin Donuts as a 16-year-old city high school student; he now owns 45 of the Dunkin chain s locations. (Tom Gralish/The Philadelphia Inquirer/TNS) He owns the same Dunkin’ store where he got his start – and he’s giving back to say thanks PHILADELPHIA Sonny Ho was a 16-year-old Philly high school student when he landed his first job. “I was a porter, doing cleanup,” he said. “After school I threw out the trash, mopped the floor, and hosed down the kitchen in the Dunkin’ Donuts at Erie-Torresdale. I made about $100 (a week) and was so happy for it.”
