DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth has announced that fields for the marathon, Bjorklund Half Marathon and William Irvin 5-K will be limited to half capacity.
Although they were hoping to increase the in-person capacity, Executive Director Shane Bauer says COVID safety requirements from the state will keep participation for the races at about ten thousand.
Grandma’s Marathon and local health partners believe limiting the field will give the event the best chance of happening in June.
Those still interested in participating in Marathon weekend can contact one of the race charity partners or register to run virtually.
