James D. Reed, 37, faces felony third-degree burglary, along with multiple misdemeanors, state police said.
Reed was arrested this week in connection with a report of a theft in progress at the Wilton Home Depot shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, state police said.
Troopers arrived and spotted the suspect, later identified as Reed, leaving in a car with another individual. They stopped him and found him in possession of burglar tools and a clear glass smoking device that contained cocaine residue, and drug paraphernalia, state police said.

WILTON – A Schenectady man threatened to blow up the Wilton Walmart, leading to the store’s evacuation, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said.
Gregory L. Craig, 64, of State Street, was arrested and charged with one count of making a terroristic threat, a felony.
Craig is accused of making a 911 call shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday and saying he was going to blow up the Walmart store in Wilton, officials said.
The threat led the store to be evacuated, secured and swept by sheriff’s K-9 units, officials said.

The two are also accused of including a child in the incident, officials said.
Kim Baylis, 55, of Amsterdam, and Jessika L. Baylis, 32, of Providence, were each arrested Friday and charged with one count each of third-degree burglary, a felony, and misdemeanor petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child.
Deputies responded to the Wilton Walmart for a report of a theft. They soon determined that the mother and daughter stole merchandise from the store after having been previously advised they were not allowed on the premises, leading to the burglary charges.
