The organisations include the Ministry of Planning and Investment s (MPI) Agency of Enterprise Development, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Developmentâs Agro-Processing and Market Development Authority, the Vietnam Cooperative Allianceâs Centre for Trade Promotion and Investment, and Grab Vietnam.
The programme will promote the sales of agri-products on digital platforms like Grab to support virus-hit localities overcome the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the programme will organize practical activities to raise awareness of digital transformation among businesses, cooperatives, business households, and farmers.

Farming organic dragon fruit expands in Long An

Vietnam s Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Long An will expand cultivation of organic dragon fruit, primarily in Chau Thanh district, according to its Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Nguyen Chi Thien, deputy director of the department, said the authorities in the district, department and companies had piloted an organic dragon fruit model in Thanh Phu Long, Phu Ngai Tri and Duong Xuan Hoi communes that turned out to be highly efficient.

HÀ NỘI Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc has asked the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) to work closely with authorised agencies to fully exploit the potential of cooperatives, promoting the development of the collective economy and cooperatives through the effective implementation of public services and programmes.
He made the request at the 6th National Congress of the Vietnam Cooperatives’ Alliance for the 2020-2025 tenure held in Hà Nội on Tuesday.

Hanoi, Dec 15 (Prensa Latina) The VI Congress of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (ACV) will be held on the 21st and 22nd in this capital with the participation of about a thousand delegates, federation officials reported today. The event aims to strengthen cooperativism and the collective economy, a sector that currently contributes almost five percent of the national Gross Domestic Product, said Nguyen Manh Cuong, vice president of ACV.
It brings together around 26,400 cooperatives in different branches, but the majority (62 percent) are agricultural. Its activities provide livelihoods for nearly 30 million people, out of a population of 97 million.
