National fund calls for donations for children affected by COVID-19

Wednesday, 19:37, 09/06/2021 The National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) is calling on local and foreign donors to provide different forms of aid to children affected by the ongoing COVID-19 resurgence in Vietnam. The fund’s Goodwill Ambassador, actor Xuan Bac, will join the fundraising campaign, which will run from June 1 to July 31, it said. Donations can be made in the form of cash, non-cash items, or services. According to the NFVC, the growing complexity of the COVID-19 pandemic is putting enormous pressure on economic development and social welfare in Vietnam. It had had a direct impact on close to 7,000 children in 26 cities and provinces nationwide as of June 8. The number of children infected or placed in quarantine is likely to continue to rise.
