The Botetourt County School Board will hold an organizational meeting, where it will elect a chair and vice-chair. The board will then get an update on the construction of the new Colonial Elementary School. It will also look at the draft calendar for the next school year, which has classes starting on Aug. 11 and ending on May 25.
The City of Roanoke’s Equity and Empowerment Advisory Board will meet today. The board was formed to review priorities for equity, to be incorporated into the city’s long-range plan and develop implementation policies and actions. Due to the pandemic, the public cannot attend in person, but can watch on Facebook.
