EPA Nonprofit 'Live In Peace' Raises $2.3M For Families! | 106.1 KMEL

Thanks to Live In Peace, a nonprofit that has served the small town for over two decades, 370 families in EPA will keep a roof over their heads. Live In Peace director Heather Starnes-Logwood was forced to find different ways to assist the community during the pandemic outside of their usual gym + fitness activities, bike workshop program & family events. An idea was sprouted from a noticed need in the community for financial assistance, primarily for help with rent & school supplies. The goal was set to raise $100,000 for EPA families and Live In Peace put the call out to its clients, community members & friends. The goal was not only set but shattered! $2.3 million dollars was raised, which touts the nonprofits yearly earnings by a huge amount.
