The Blue Ridge Power team will be led by CEO Chris Dunbar and a management team consisting of key members from the Pine Gate EPC team combined with senior leadership at Horne Brothers Construction. Jack and Charles Horne will remain with the company after the acquisition in strategic leadership roles. Following the spinoff, Blue Ridge Power will have a continued partnership with Pine Gate, serving as their exclusive EPC contractor. Pine Gate Renewables expects to construct more than 5GW of projects over the next three years.

Two solar projects to benefit local cranberry farmers set to go in Carver

CARVER – The first solar projects to be built over cranberry bogs call Carver home and are on schedule to be developed by the end of this year.
Pine Gate Renewables, a solar development company based in North Carolina, announced April 6 that the company has closed financing on the two dual-use projects that are making history.
The solar projects – one off Tremont Street and the other off Rochester Road – will bring a total of 7 megawatts of solar energy and storage capacity to the state while also maintaining the ground for cranberry farming.
Pine Gate is working with local cranberry farmers to tend to the land and manage the harvest process. The Solar Carver projects will provide temporary construction jobs to hundreds of workers during the build-out, will keep local cranberry farms active. Additionally, the storage component to both projects provides necessary backup power to maintain the integrity of the grid for the Commonwealth.
