China s child policy desperate bid to mitigate schemes

Beijing [China], June 9 (ANI): China s policy of allowing couples to have three children is a desperate bid to mitigate the consequences of failed policies of the previous Chinese governments.
As per Washington Post, the one-child policy has brought China to the brink of population decline at a time when the rising nation is still too poor, on a per capita basis, to support swelling ranks of elderly pensioners on the backs of a dwindling number of young workers.
Experts began forecasting years ago the smothering effect the one-child policy would have on China s long-term development. Nevertheless, the government persisted. By the time the policy was finally lifted, in 2016 the all-powerful government permitted couples to have two children it was too late.

How political is today s Supreme Court?
The website FiveThirtyEight has described the high court as the most conservative it s been in 70 years.
In purely political terms, a statistical analysis published in The Washington Post comes to the same bottom-line. The current 6-3 conservative majority on the court makes it more conservative than the elected branches [House, Senate and presidency - all controlled by Democrats] to a degree not seen in 70 years.
The out-of-balance scales of Supreme Court justice can be traced to the heavy hand of Senate Republicans.
