Florida A&M University’s Marching 100, which has performed at inaugural events for Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, now can add the Joe Biden inauguration to its moments in history.
The Marching 100, under the direction of FAMU’s Director of Bands Shelby Chipman, will perform during the “We Are One” Presidential Inaugural Event, held 8-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, the university announced late Monday night.
The event, hosted by the Presidential Inaugural Committee, wlll stream live at bideninaugural.org/watch and on Urban One, HBCU Grad, NowThis, Revolt TV, The Source, The Shade Room, BET, The Grio TV, Daily Kos, Watch The Yard, Blavity, and on NBC Peacock TV on The Choice, Peacock’s free, news channel.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â Florida A&M Universityâs Marching 100 will perform as part of a Presidential Inaugural Event honoring President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
On Tuesday, the Marching 100 will perform for the âWe Are Oneâ event, which is scheduled from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
The event is hosted by the Presidential Inaugural Committee and will celebrate and honor the Black community with powerful speakers, inspiring stories and entertaining performances, according to the university.
FAMU Band Director Shelby Chipman said that about 150 band members participated in the taping of the performance, which included a rendition of Bill Withersâ âLovely Day.â
