Food delivery workers should be prioritized for COVID-19 vaccination to ensure their safety, Taiwan People’s Party (TPP) Legislator Lai Hsiang-ling (賴香伶) said yesterday.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of Labor should establish a schedule for vaccinating food deliverers and others in high-risk occupations, she said, adding that she has submitted a request on the issue to the ministries.
“Protecting these delivery personnel is in the interest of both their health and ours,” she said.

The Taipei Police Department at a news conference yesterday revealed recovered surveillance footage from Songshan Precinct’s Zhonglun Police Station that was allegedly deleted by the station’s former director.
At about 2am on April 16, a group of 10 people stormed into the station as they pursued precinct physical training instructor Yang Chung-li (楊忠蒞) following an argument, and allegedly damaged a computer at the station.
Surveillance footage from the incident had been missing, and former station director Hsu Shu-huan (許書桓) who was removed from the post on Thursday had previously said he deleted it by accident.

The National Police Agency (NPA) yesterday removed Lin Chih-cheng (林志誠) from his post as Taipei Songshan Precinct chief because of an incident at the precinct’s Zhonglun Police Station in which a group of young men were released without being charged after causing damage at the station.
At about 2am on April 16, a physical training instructor at the precinct named Yang Chung-li (楊忠蒞), 49, was chased into the station after an argument with a group of 10 men who were out drinking.
Yang had also been drinking, and said he had been on his way to the station at the time to rest.
