Bay View Arts and Culture Editor Wanda Sabir read libations honoring our recently transitioned ancestors at the Monumental Reckoning unveiling at the Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park. The event was the opening day of artist Dana King’s 350 Ancestors – bronze, wire and steel sculptures of the original 350 Angolan captives taken from home in 1619.
