Family-owned contractor Careys has promoted Bjourn Bigley as managing director of its civil engineering business.
The division was previously led by Steve Regan, who left his role as CEO of Careys Civil Engineering in September last year after 14 years with the firm. Regan departed as the wider Carey Group announced cost-saving restructuring, citing the turnover impact of the virus crisis.
Bigley joined Careys almost 18 years ago in August 2003. From 2014, he served as operations director for Scotland, and in 2017 was appointed chief operating officer for Careys Civil Engineering across Scotland, Ireland and the north of England.
