Ludhiana: As many as 19 residents of Ludhiana died of Covid-19 and 461 tested positive on Tuesday. The positive cases include a healthcare worker and an undertrial.
Chief medical officer Dr Kiran Ahluwalia said the district casualties included a 46-year-old woman of Haibowal Khurd, a 45-year-old woman of Central Postal Office, a 65-year-old man of Shivji Nagar, a 37-year-old man of Haibowal Kalan, a 58-year-old man of Khud Mohalla, a 55-year-old woman of Dadhahoor village, a 60-year-old man of Chakk Kalan village, a 69-year-old man of Civil Lines, a 56-year-old man of Nandpur, a 49-year-old man of Jamalpur Colony, a 55-year-old man of Sirthala, a 34-year-old man of Salem Tabri, a 56-year-old man of Khanna, a 57-year-old man of Baba Deep Singh Nagar, a 60-year-old woman from Gujjrawala, a 51-year-old man of Janakpuri, a 58-year-old man of Issa Nagri, a 55-year-old man of Tibba Road and a 30-year-old woman of Kundanpuri.

312 students and 153 teachers with staff have tested positive so far
Till now, a total of 71 students and four teachers from the GSSS, Bhundri, have tested positive. A total of 312 students and 153 teachers, along with staff members, have tested positive from Ludhiana district since the reopening of the schools.
Forty nine students from Government Senior Secondary School, Bhundari, one from GNE College, one from Aurbindo College, Jhande, one from GSSS Kohara, one from GSSS Sahibana and three from GTB Nursing College tested positive today.
One teacher from Kindergarten Model Town, one from DAV University Jalandhar, one from PCTE Baddowal, one from GPS Cheeniwal and one from GSSS Sahibana tested positive today.
