A New Bedford man who used a hypodermic needle and the threat of HIV to rob a pharmacy clerk a year ago has been sentenced to four to six years in prison.

FALL RIVER A 32-year-old Fall River man arrested twice within a six month time frame for trafficking large amounts of cocaine was sentenced to serve five to eight years in state prison recently, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced.
Bryan Semidey pleaded guilty on May 17th to two indictments charging him with two counts of trafficking in excess of 36 grams of cocaine.
According to a press release from the DA s office, on May 22, 2019 the Fall River Police Department s Vice Unit executed a search warrant at 435 Fourth Street, apt. 1S in Fall River. Bryan Semidey was the target. At 1:30 pm, the detectives entered the apartment with K9 Capone assisting in the search of the apartment. In the basement, after being alerted by the K9, police located a bag with approximately 300 grams of cocaine in it hidden behind some bricks. Fall River Man Arrested in Connection With Double Homicide
FALL RIVER Authorities have made an arrest in connection with the ongoing investigation into the double homicide that occurred in Fall River earlier this week.
Jeremy Holmes, 18, of Fall River was arrested Friday evening, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III and Fall River Police Chief Jeffrey Cardoza announced.
Holmes was taken into custody without incident tonight around 8:15 p.m. at the Boston Marriott Hotel in Burlington. He was arrested by members of District Attorney Quinn s State Police Detective Unit, Fall River Police, the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and Burlington Police.
Taunton Man Sentenced For Vicious 2019 Assault on Girlfriend
A Taunton man will serve 5-to-6 years in state prison for violently assaulting his girlfriend in 2019.
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III says 48-year old Robert Hosea pleaded guilty to indictments charging him with strangulation, aggravated assault and battery, and intimidation of a witness. He was sentenced last week in Fall River Superior Court.
On March 17, 2019, Taunton Police were dispatched to Morton Hospital at approximately 8:45 p.m. for a report of a seriously injured woman. The victim had a swollen face, a black and blue eye which was swollen shut, and dried blood around her mouth and on her teeth. Her mouth was swollen and her front teeth were loose and appeared almost knocked out.
