Luis Bernardo Rodriguez and Claudia Veronica Graciano-Rodriguez are facing charges of bringing in and harboring migrants. Details on the case are scarce since it remains sealed. At about 4 p.m. May 17, U.S. Border Patrol agents and Webb County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office deputies investigated suspicious activity reported at a home in the 3600 block of Tilden Avenue in the Las Cruces neighborhood.

Crews picked up trash in the streets and in abandoned areas while residents also took their own trash to the cleanup site. “The importance of clean-ups is to keep the areas clean and safe, avoiding a harmful environment to our constituents,” Gonzalez said.

Authorities also arrested Josue Ismael Anguiano-Viramontes, also known as Joshua Anguiano-Luna, was arrested in relation to the case. U.S. Border Patrol’s intelligence unit received information on April 26 about a home in the 1300 block of Philadelphia Street that was used to harbor migrants who had crossed the border illegally.
