Webb County extends waived credit card fees

Webb County Commissioners have extended the waiving of all credit card fees for online transactions. Originally, fees were waived through Jan. 31. Taxpayers are typically subjected to a 3% fee.
The waiving of fees applies to all departments of Webb County. Once again, this applies only to transactions done online.
Waived fees will continue to be in effect until March 31, 2021.
Webb County residents are encouraged to continue to wear their masks, wash their hands and practice social distancing when conducting business within Webb County departments.

Commissioner John C. Galo has been sworn in for a third term as Webb County Commissioner, Precinct 3.
The oath of office was administered by Texas Senator Judith Zaffirini in a closed ceremony taking all COVID-19 guidance into consideration.
“I am humbled by the continued confidence given to me by the voters of Webb County Precinct 3, and pledge to continue devoting my efforts to representing them, fighting for them and continuing to prioritize making Webb County accountable to all its citizens,” Galo said.
