Malta is driving forward a knowledge-based economy built on research, creativity, and innovation – Minister Silvio Schembri Posted by Vento on €100,000 TAKEOFF Seed Fund Award to enable next phase towards commercialisation of business and research ideas launched between the Ministry for the Economy and Industry and the University of Malta Malta is driving forward a knowledge-based economy founded on research, creativity, innovation and the capabilities of the human intellect as means to elicit new areas of economic growth. This was said by Minister Silvio Schembri at the launch of the TAKEOFF Seed Fund Award (TOSFA), which is allocating another €100,000 to start-ups that wish to commercialise their business ideas. Minister Schembri stated this in the context of his ministry drafting an economic strategy for the long-term, with this pillar being seen as both the present and the future.
