The document outlined conditions required to sign off with rules ranging from bus routes to garbage collection, and the number of bike racks and carparking spaces available. Subscriber only Mackay s rapid growth has created a green revival in the heart of Andergrove with a $5.18 million park master plan approved. Mackay Regional Council voted to approve the masterplan for the Woodlands District Park Master Plan on Wednesday.
Mayor Greg Williamson said the plan was a critical first step in developing the 21-hectare site in the heart of Andergrove. Cr Williamson said the area would be split into three distinct green precincts, each providing a unique feel for residents. The Lake Precinct will allow residents to take in the serenity around the existing water feature while also incorporating large open spaces and shared paths for exercise, Cr Williamson said.
