City reflects on challenging, eventful 2020
The city of Newberg s annual Year in Review takes creative look at past year
Focusing primarily on the positives in a year that saw staff turnover, legal controversy and unprecedented challenges from a governing standpoint, the city of Newberg released its 2020 annual report on Feb. 19. The report was delivered alongside Mayor Rick Rogers state of the city address posted to various social media platforms.
Rogers also delivered the state of the city address online via the Newberg City Club s monthly forum.
Every town and city, large and small in Oregon and throughout the world, can reflect on the year that was, Rogers wrote in a statement at the top of the report. In most of our lifetimes, there has not been a year quite like 2020. The challenges faced by our businesses, schools, churches and, yes, city government have been deep and profound. ....
