Concord resident, North Reading HS principal named admin of the year

Wicked Local He was helping teachers and administrators navigate the hybrid learning model. He was also preparing for the full return of students come April, managing student needs and the logistics of the day-to-day responsibilities typically seen for a principal. Overall, it was an ordinary day for AJ Loprete at North Reading High School. That is until he was escorted into the gymnasium. On Friday, March 26, Loprete, a longtime Concord resident, received the Administrator of the Year Award by the Massachusetts Association of Student Councils (MASC) in conjunction with the Massachusetts School Administrators Association.  There were limited attendees at the ceremony – including students, teachers, his wife, Bee, and close friends, including fellow educator Steve Graham, who made the trek north from Florida – due to COVID protocols.

New donation effort aims to provide warm clothing

New donation effort aims to provide warm clothing Community Content MarketStreet Lynnfield recently launched The Give Warmth Project, a new donation effort founded by a North Reading high school student, that provides warm clothing to those in need. The Give Warmth Project’s mission is to collect public donations of new warm winter necessities with a focus on jackets, hats, gloves, socks and mittens. Through the end of March, donated items can be conveniently placed in a specially branded Give Warmth Project clothing bin located on The Green at MarketStreet Lynnfield. The items are then donated to the local Boys and Girls Clubs of Stoneham and Wakefield, which will distribute the warm clothing to area youths in need.
