This new option is an extension of the mass vaccination sites at North Point Mall that closed in July. “This is just a great option. It s pain free. It s a spit test. It s just as accurate and it doesn t cost anything, said Lori Steiner, Scott County Heal Department Clinical Services Manager. You can pick up a test kit from the health department or have one mailed to you. The kit comes with instructions on how to complete the test and a pre-labeled return stamp.

Man steals gold chain from North Point store

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — A shoplifter stole a gold chain from the Zales Jewelry shop at the North Point Mall along North Point Circle on April 14. A store clerk told police a man wearing a hat and black face mask came in and asked to look at some gold chains. He took one of them and walked out as the clerk yelled for him to stop. The employee described the chain as a 10-karat yellow gold necklace worth $1,500. Mall security showed footage of the suspect running out of the mall and leaving in a white SUV driven by another person.

Authorities gave the North Point Mall the all-clear signal on Friday after a threat called in halfway across the state forced them to evacuate. According to Alpharetta Police, the City of Columbus received a threatening call around 11 a.m. where the person on the other end claimed an incendiary device had been placed inside the mall - some 130 miles away. Officers from the department as well as K-9 units from Cherokee County, Roswell and Woodstock were called to the area and swept the mall searching for any suspicious device but found none. The mall was given the all-clear around 12:45 p.m.
