BISMARCK A Bismarck man tried to strangle his girlfriend to death with a yo-yo string while she drove him to the police station so he could turn himself in on other charges, court documents allege.
The Burleigh County State’s Attorney s Office filed several charges on Wednesday against Derek Delayne Dillman, 32, including felony counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault, terrorizing and fleeing police. He is being held at the Burleigh County Jail.
