Marwell Zoo announces death of cheetah | Hampshire Chronicle

A HAMPSHIRE zoo has announced the sad death of its last cheetah. Marwell Zoo confirmed on their Facebook page this morning that Tano, an eight-year-old cheetah, has died following persistent health issues. The cheetah has been described as gentle but bold and the zoo has said he will be incredibly missed by his keepers . Tano was suffering with health issues that were being managed by the team, however during the last few days his quality of life began to deteriorate and he was euthanised. Tano was the last cheetah at the zoo, but his enclosure is to be renovated for a pair of servals, Jinx and Hex.
