(WFIE) - A registered sex offender was arrested in Perry County on several drug charges. The Troy Police Department got word that 43-year-old Lonnie Miller was living on Walnut Street. Police say he’s a non-compliant registered sex offender through Kentucky. Authorities there had issued a warrant for him on drug charges. As officers were waiting on a search warrant for the home he was in, Miller gave himself up peacefully to police. ....
Kettlersville Council OKs safety ordinances in 2020 Kaminsky KETTLERSVILLE In 2020, the Kettlersville Village Council approved ordinances relating to public health and safety, passing legislation on the operation of snowmobiles, off-road motorcycles, and all-purpose vehicles on village streets, golf carts, as well as adopting a noise ordinance. Mayor Eric Kaminsky has submitted the following report: Infrastructure was also a high priority, with four more storms drains on State Route 274 repaired, following up on four that were done in 2019. The Village also sought money for the reconstruction of Kettlersville Road from State Route 274 to North Street, but was unable to qualify for funding. In 2021, the Village plans to apply for funding for the project through Ohio Public Works, and is currently seeking bids for engineering and design services. ....
Lammers sworn in as Kettlersville fiscal officer Also, Lonnie Miller was chosen as council president, and Randy Wentz was appointed zoning officer. Kaminsky appointed council members to the Finance, Street and Lands & Buildings committees. The mayor will continue to serve as the village representative to the Shelby County Regional Planning Commission. Regular meetings were set as the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in council chambers. Pay rates for 2021 also were set. Temporary appropriations of $10,000 were approved until a budget is finalized. Bills were presented and approved. The park shelter was demolished after the December meeting due to structural issues with rot. The insurance company was contacted, and the premium will be adjusted. ....
