After video circulated of a man shouting obscenities at participants in a Pridewalk painting project along Broadway Avenue, Saskatoon Mayor Charlie Clark said he was angered to see the “aggressive and homophobic attack on the folks peacefully painting” the rainbow crosswalk.

“As we gear up to celebrate Pride in Saskatoon, this is a reminder of the homophobia and transphobia that many in our community and province face far too often. Police: Mother, 24, dies in one-car crash in St. Albans
Chelsey Roy of St. Albans is believed to have died on impact, according to police. Her 3-year-old son, who was in the back seat, was taken to Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield, where he was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.
