Middle blocker Keenan Sanders started the season strong, blasting 16 kills and hitting .800 to lead the fourth-ranked UCSB men’s volleyball team to a four-set victory over UC San Diego in the Gauchos’ season opener on Wednesday afternoon at Rob Gym.
The scores were 25-18, 26-28, 25-18, 25-19.
Setter Casey McGarry did a nice job spreading the ball around. He had 51 assists to go with 13 digs and three block assists.
