A study aiming to balance future development with the charm of Bethlehem’s South Side Historic Conservation District recommends increasing building heights from 60 feet to 90 feet in one portion of the central business district, while dropping them from 150 feet to 60 feet elsewhere in the district.

Four vendors have been announced as part of the lineup coming to the new Riverport Public Market in Southside Bethlehem.
The Riverport Market, 17 W. 2nd St., is the site of the former Starters Sports Bar, which shut down in February 2013. Once completed, the 24,000-square-foot, two-story space is expected to feature a total of 25 vendors, a demonstration kitchen and brew tasting room. An anchor restaurant previously planned has since been scrapped from the project at this time, Natalia Stezenko, asset manager for developer Ashley Development Corporation, told lehighvalleylive.com Tuesday.
