Two Whitehaven Sea Cadets recognised in Lord-Lieutenants’ Awards
Two Whitehaven Sea Cadets have been given a prestigious award from The Queen.
The cadets are celebrating this week after finding out their hard work has been recognised in the prestigious annual Lord-Lieutenants’ Awards.
Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenants are the representatives of the Crown for each county in the United Kingdom and are appointed directly by Her Majesty The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister.
Whitehaven Sea Cadet Jack Fleming has been awarded a Lord Lieutenants Commendation
Cadet Jack Fleming is one of only four cadets recognised in the county and has been awarded a Lord Lieutenants Commendation in recognition of his work to make sure that young people’s voices are heard at the highest levels within the sea cadets organisation.
