SRINAGAR: Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah has been assigned additional charges as Mission Director Jal Jeevan Mission Jammu and Kashmir, an order in this regard by the Lieutenant Governor-led administration reads.

9 Member LC Committee Constituted for Integrated Development of Logistic Sector
SRINAGAR: The formation of a Logistic Coordination Committee in Jammu and Kashmir was approved by the Lieutenant Governor-led dispensation on Friday, with the aim of integrating the logistic sector’s growth.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday announced the discovery of 28 cases of the new Covid-19 variant in the Jammu region, but none in Kashmir.
With the Covid-19 graph witnessing an upward trend in the Union Territory, the J&K administration said that the situation is challenging because the growth rate of positive cases is 8.12 per cent, which is higher than it was last year.
Govt Relaxes Policy On Transfers, Postings Of Employees
SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor-led dispensation has relaxed its previous policy, enforced in October last year, regarding transfers and postings of employees in Jammu and Kashmir.
An order in this regard, of which a copy lies with news agency GNS, reads that “In view of the need to effect the transfers/postings of Government employees in the interest of administration, necessitated either on account of urgency involved or their stay beyond the prescribed period, there shall be a relaxation of Government Order No. 948-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 15.10.2020.”
During the period of relaxation, according to the order, the Competent Authority as per Transaction of Business Rules of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, shall effect transfers till 31st January, 2021, subsequent whereof, the restrictions imposed vide Government Order in this shall resume.
