Lenovo APAC picks social media for 12 market duties Details 18 June 2021
Lenovo Asia Pacific has reappointed social media agency SocialGrooves.com as the support hub for all 12 of the APAC markets: Australia and New Zealand, India, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. The pitch was held in Feburary to March earlier this year and the appointment will last until April 2022.Securing the social hub account for the second year in a row, SocialGrooves.com will seek to provide a social media strategy and coordination that increases engagement rate while further coordinating this strategy at the APAC level. It will also aim to amplify Lenovo’s vision and messaging through proposed social media strategies and reporting.

Lenovo lines up Asia Pacific channel director amid leadership shuffle
The move comes as the Chinese hardware giant shakes up its Asian leadership ranks.

Lenovo’s Asia Pacific channel general manager for small and medium business (SMB), Roy Ng, has taken on responsibility for the channel business across all segments of the vendor’s PC and smart devices business (PCSD) in the region.
Lenovo has made a raft of new APAC leadership appointments to support its goal of expanding its offerings in the region.
“As our customers continue their transformation journeys, in their businesses, education, and personal lives, we aim to support them with the full resources of Lenovo in technology hardware, solutions and services,” said Lenovo Asia Pacific president Amar Babu.
“Putting the right team in place to make this happen will ensure that we can deliver on this promise and bring our vision – smarter technology for all – to life.”
Motorola India managing director Prashanth Mani had added leadership of Lenovo’s Mobile Business Group in Asia Pacific to his responsibilities and is tasked with taking advantage of new opportunities offered by 5G.
