Regarding Noozhawk’s June 29 article, “Homeless Encampment Residents Moving In to Santa Barbara’s Rose Garden Inn,” it seems that City Councilman Mike Jordan “doth protest too much” over the public having “lots of advice for us, very little of it legal, and a lot more of it doing nothing, except complaining.”
This is not a new problem, as Jordan knows full well. If he and his fellow council members had been doing their jobs and acting in the best interests of ALL of the public, the public would be a lot more likely to give them the benefit of the doubt. ....

Ready To Drink, 1919 Washington, offers 100 bottled classic and modern classic cocktails on the shelf Negronis, Martinis, Old Fashioneds and Bees Knees, in addition to things like large format ice in a variety of shapes and sizes,mixers and cocktail garnishes, shakers, jiggers and fun stuff like Prosecco gummies, Negroni soap, whiskey-flavored popcorn and mimosa lollipops. Toro Toro Replaces Quattro, Back Table Replaces Robard's


Toro Toro, 1300 Lamar, will open at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston in fall 2021. This will be the sixth location for the concept. The hotel has partnered with Richard Sandoval Hospitality to bring his award-winning global Pan-Latin Steakhouse to Houston. It will open in the hotel’s revamped third floor restaurant space, replacing Quattro, the now-closed Italian restaurant known for its spectacular brunches..
Toro Toro is a combination of the Japanese word for tuna and the Spanish word for bull, representing a menu that will feature seafood and steaks. With vibrant Pan-Latin flavors from Rodizio-style Churrasco and creative shareable small plates, the new restaurant will also take inspiration from the convivial dining culture of Central and South America. Nick Wong has been promoted to executive chef of UB Preserv.
With new restaurants on the way, Underbelly Hospitality announced on Tuesday some major changes to its internal structure. Namely, chef/owner Chris Shepherd has shifted from the executive chef role at his restaurants, though he will consult with each chef on his menu.
The company is growing, and this has been the plan all along,” Shepherd said in a press release. My job now is to support the next generation of restaurant leaders. Each of these people have shown integrity, compassion, skill and empathy and have worked through so many challenges this year. I can t wait to see what they ll accomplish next. ....
