JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A man, who recently spent his 61st wedding anniversary with his wife at a local hospital as they both battled COVID-19, has passed away.
According to a Facebook post from the Brandon Baxter in the Morning radio show, Louis Preston died Saturday.
“I will never forget your booming voice, your boisterous laugh, your strong hand shake, and your big bear hug. Thank you for welcoming me into your family. Louis Preston lost his battle on 1/2/21. He fought bravely, with everything ounce of strength he had. Ultimately, Covid-19 was too much for Papaw’s lungs,” Baxter said in the post. “He reached a point of no return. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. Memaw is still fighting for her life,
