Cook Set to Meet Players as Big Name Departures Expected

Manager Paul Cook will meet with the current Town players today to tell them whether they’re in his plans for the future.
Speaking on Friday, Cook wouldn’t be drawn into commenting on whether the players already had an idea of his thoughts.
He said everyone was hurting after what’s been a difficult season: “That will come to the table on Monday when we speak to all the players individually regarding what’s gone on, what’s going to go on with the future of the club. And the future of the club is the most important thing.

Manager Paul Cook is looking to maintain his unbeaten home record as Blues boss when the Blues host Fleetwood Town in Sunday’s otherwise meaningless final game of the season.
Although Town’s results have been disappointing overall since Cook took charge on March 2nd, the Blues are yet to lose at Portman Road under his management, winning two and drawing three of his five games on home turf.
“I was going to mention that, none of you lot were going to mention that!” Cook laughed at his pre-match press conference.

According to Sport.sk, Wolves are interested in signing FC Groningen wonderkid Tomáš Suslov, who has impressed in the Netherlands.
The 18-year-old is already a full international for Slovakia, having earned two caps for the senior team.
Suslov is also a regular for FC Groningen, and has two goals and five assists in 24 Eredivisie outings this season.

Cook: The Injury Situation at This Club s Not Been Great Over a Period of Time

Town boss Paul Cook was keeping his cards close to his chest regarding the Blues’ injury problems at this morning’s press conference ahead of tomorrow’s home game against Bristol Rovers and says the injury situation at the club hasn’t been great over a period of time and will be something which is looked at at the end of the season.
Kane Vincent-Young was subbed at half-time in last week’s 0-0 draw at Wigan, the right-back’s first competitive start in 17 months. Also missing last week were loanee Luke Matheson with a knock and James Wilson due to a knee problem.
