It was crazy. I was a teenager myself being chased by a load of screaming teenagers and it was such a surreal moment. I was like, Oh am I famous now!
After the release of their debut album Inside In/Inside Out they became a band for a whole generation of fans in the mid noughties. On the 15th anniversary of it s release the band kick off a very special tour at The Olympia in Jan 2022 (see below)

Well, strap yourself in for another one, because The Kooks have just announced a UK tour to celebrate the recent 15th anniversary of their album Inside In/Inside Out.

USA - Lighting designer Tom Kenny utilised nearly 400 Robe moving lights on his lrig for the debut of Triller Fight Club, a new PPV entertainment and sporting concept partnership between US video sharing and social network, Triller, and rapper Snoop Dogg. Embracing the pro boxing league, live music performances plus celebrities and social media personalities, the first Triller Fight Club event was staged at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The four-hour broadcast was conceived by multiple Oscar-nominated Alex Kavanaugh and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, Bert Marcus.
THE organisers of Oxfordshire’s biggest dedicated rock festival have vowed to carry on with this year’s event and have unveiled the headline acts. Truck Festival is set to go ahead at Hill Farm, Steventon, near Didcot, from July 22-25, headlined by Bombay Bicycle Club, The Kooks and Royal Blood. And tickets have already sold out. The festival ended months of speculation last night by revealing its first tranche of almost 70 bands and artists, and insisting the event would go ahead. This comes as other large events, including Glastonbury Festival and, locally, Cornbury and Riverside festivals and Cowley Road Carnival took the decision to call off their shows.

Hosted by radio presenter and journalist Tina Edwards, the episode is Luke Pritchard and Hugh Harris embark on a personal exploration of the whirlwind of being catapulted to fame as a teenager, at a time when major labels were trying to snap up guitar bands left right and centre and the musical conversation happening between the UK and USA.
