With the number of positive COVID-19 cases on the rise across the region, officials in Fitchburg and Leominster are thankful for the recent donation of personal protective equipment to their cities.
John Chen, global president and CEO of Mascon, Inc. in Woburn, presented Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella and Fitchburg Mayor Stephen DiNatale with more than 250,000 masks, gowns, face shields, goggles, hand sanitizing wipes, and electrostatic sprayers to disinfect surfaces.
Those items, delivered to last week’s presentation at the Leominster Office of Emergency Management, are vital as the Twin Cities enter their 10th month of battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
