(KWTX) - When Kim Mulkey is inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame Saturday, her former coach and mentor, Leon Barmore, will be back home in Ruston, La., watching on with pride.
Barmore, now retired, is best known for his 35-year association with the Louisiana Tech UniversityLady Techsters, and he knows something about the honor and experience awaiting Mulkey; he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003.
This long-awaited Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinement weekend will be largely about Kobe Bryant. Of course, it won’t be solely about Bryant, nor would he have wanted it that way.
